Aberdeen High Income Trust Plc.

Aberdeen High Income Trust Plc now holds 11,080,000 shares representing 10.09%
of the issued share capital of that class (previously 8.27%).

Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited also write to inform you that they purchased
1,909,000 shares of the above company, on the 18th May 2001, on behalf of
discretionary funds under management.

Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited further write to inform you that they sold
3,909,000 shares of the above company, on the 18th May 2001, on behalf of The
