                GULF KEYSTONE PETROLEUM LIMITED (the "Company")

                              DIRECTOR SHAREHOLDING


The Company was today informed by Roger Parsons, a director of the Company, that
he has today purchased 100,000 common shares of US$0.01 each ("Common Shares")
at a price of 67p. Following this purchase, Roger Parsons is interested in
300,000 Common Shares, representing 0.12 per cent. of the current issued share
capital of the Company.
