Qatar Investment Fund plc (the "Company") announces that on 10 January 2014 it purchased 35,000 of its ordinary shares at a price per share of USD 1.1475.

Following the above purchases, the Company holds 6,764,968 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 155,983,174 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

The above figure of 155,983,174 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
