Share buy back

Qatar Investment Fund Plc (the "Company") announces that on 21 December 2011 it purchased 70,000 of its ordinary shares at a price per share of USD0.88 and 10,000 of its ordinary shares at a price per share of USD0.875.  Following the above purchases, the company holds 1,585,555 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 231,833,752 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

The above figure of 231,833,752 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
