Dr J P  The Administrators of the SmithKline Beecham US Retirement Savings Plan
Garnier ('the plan') notified SmithKline Beecham plc on 22nd December 2000 that
        Dr Garnier had increased his interest by 3 Ordinary Share ADRs at a
        price of $61.875 per share.
