GlaxoSmithKline plc in respect of the under-mentioned Persons Discharging
Managerial Responsibility:-

Mr R Bondy                    Exercise of options on 1 December 2005 over 1,031 
                              Ordinary shares granted on 1 December 2002 under 
                              the GlaxoSmithKline Savings Related Share Option
                              Scheme at a price of £9.16 per share.

Mr M Dunoyer                  Exercise of options on 1 December 2005 over 1,031 
                              Ordinary shares granted on 1 December 2002 under 
                              the GlaxoSmithKline Savings Related Share Option
                              Scheme at a price of £9.16 per share.

The Company was advised of these transactions on 2 December 2005.

This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with
Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a).
