Mr A P Witty                  Exercise of options on 8 November 2005 over 11,744 Ordinary shares granted
                              on 14 August 1996 under the Glaxo Wellcome International Share Option Scheme
                              at a price of £8.94 per share.



                              Sale of 6,903 Ordinary shares on 8 November 2005 at a price of £15.26 per
                              share.



The Company was advised of these transactions on 11 November 2005.
