I give below details of changes in the interests of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility or Connected Persons in the Ordinary Shares of GlaxoSmithKline plc.

Mr A P Witty	The purchase of 861 Ordinary shares in GlaxoSmithKline plc on 25 March 2011 within an ISA at a price of £11.70 per Ordinary share; and
	The transfer by way of gift of 500 Ordinary shares in GlaxoSmithKline plc to each of his two children on 25 March 2011.

The Company was advised of these transactions on 25 March 2011.

This notification relates to transactions notified in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) and (c).
