 Notification of Transactions of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility or Connected Persons

I give below details of changes in the interests of a Director and his Connected Person in the Ordinary Shares of GlaxoSmithKline plc on 30 June 2011:

Mr A P Witty                      The transfer to Mr Witty by way of gift of 45,000 Ordinary shares in GlaxoSmithKline plc from Mrs C Witty, his wife; and

                                             The disposal by way of gift of 1,500 Ordinary shares in GlaxoSmithKline plc.

The Company was advised of these transactions on 30 June 2011.

This notification relates to transactions notified in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) and (c).
