I give below details of changes in interests in the Ordinary shares of
GlaxoSmithKline plc in respect of the under-mentioned Person Discharging
Managerial Responsibility:-



Mr D Pulman     Exercise of options on 27 September 2005 over 7,046 Ordinary 
                shares granted on 14 August 1996 under the Glaxo Wellcome 
                International Share Option Scheme at a price of £8.94 per share.



The Company was advised of these transactions on 28 September 2005.


This notification relates to a transaction notified in accordance with
