Griffin Mining Limited ('Griffin') has been advised that Mr Dal S Brynelsen a
non-executive director of Griffin, sold 200,000 ordinary shares in Griffin at
£0.12 per share on 17th February 2003, for personal financial and fiscal
reasons. These shares were placed with an Institutional Investor by the
Company's brokers Charles Stanley. Following this sale Mr Dal S Brynelsen has an
interest in 1 ordinary share in the capital of Griffin.
