GRESHAM COMPUTING PLC 27 September 1999 GRESHAM COMPUTING PLC As part of the Board's on-going review of group and management structure, it has been decided that Gresham's operations will be reorganised into three geographic regions: UK/Europe, North America and Australasia. Each region will have a separate business head, reporting directly to Trevor Read, Group Chief Executive. On 24 September 1999 Martin Greenbank, Group Chief Operating Officer, announced his resignation as a director of the Company in order to pursue other interests within the software industry. The Board would like to thank Martin for his contribution to the Group. The Company is pleased to announce that on 24 September 1999 Clifford Jakes was appointed to the Board as a non-executive director. He will serve on the audit and remuneration committees. Clifford, 56, was previously chairman of Argus Press and managing director of United Newspapers. He now specialises in turnaround situations and venture capital. He is currently chairman of several companies, each in the forefront of technical innovation and Internet utilisation in their respective industries. Roger Graham, Chairman of Gresham Computing, commented: 'Clifford Jakes brings wide ranging experience and a record of success in international businesses. His work in the publishing field, intellectual property and in several e-commerce businesses will bring new strengths to the Board.'
