Greggs plc announces that on 16 June 2006 it purchased 24,500 ordinary shares of
20p each in the Company for cancellation at the highest price of £3899.1581 per
share and at the lowest price of 3831.6289 per share.
Following this cancellation of shares, the Company's total issued share capital
will be 11,424,985.
