Greggs plc announces that on 18 December 2007 it purchased 30,000 ordinary
shares of 20p each in the Company for cancellation at the highest price of
£46.60 per share and at the lowest price of £44.62 per share.



Following this cancellation of shares, the Company's total issued share capital
will be 10,635,091.
