Greggs plc announces that on 17 December 2007 it purchased 15,703 ordinary
shares of 20p each in the Company for cancellation at the highest price of
£45.62 per share and at the lowest price of £45.10 per share.



Following this cancellation of shares, the Company's total issued share capital
will be 10,665,091.
