Greggs plc announces that on 2 June 2006 it purchased 15,975 ordinary shares of
20p each in the Company for cancellation at the highest price of £38.00 per
share and at the lowest price of £37.90 per share.



Following this cancellation of shares, the Company's total issued share capital
will be 11,449,464.
