On 2 February 2000, the Company was advised that Norwich Union Group had, on
the 1 February 2000, purchased 50,000 shares of 20p each in the Company (0.42%
of the issued share capital of the Company).  As a result of this purchase,
Norwich Union Group has a material interest in 4.21% of the issued share
capital of the Company as detailed below:

London & Edinburgh Insurance Co Ltd            900

The interest was disclosed on behalf of Norwich Union plc (as the ultimate
holding company).
