On 14th October 1999 Standard Life Investments sold 69,552 ordinary shares of
20p each in Greggs plc on behalf of Standard Life Group, this decreased the
total held by Standard Life Group to 450,416 shares being 3.77% of the issued
share capital of that class. The shares are registered in the name of Stanlife
Nominees Limited. The Company was informed on 18th October 1999.
