NOTIFICATIONS OF INTERESTS IN GREENCORE SHARES

Greencore Group Plc ('Greencore') has received a Notification on Friday 24th
October, 2003 from Sprucegrove Investment Management Limited of Toronto that it
has a 0% Notifiable Interest in Ordinary Shares in the Issued Share Capital of
Greencore.

Greencore has also received a Notification on Friday 24th October, 2003 from IIU
Nominees Limited ('IIU') that it has acquired 11,363,294 (6%) Ordinary Shares in
the Issued Ordinary Share Capital of Greencore on behalf of Bottin
(International) Investments Limited.  IIU now has a Notifiable Interest in
41,580,175 (22%) Ordinary Shares in the Issued Share Capital of Greencore.
