BOARD APPOINTMENT AT GREENCORE GROUP PLC ("GREENCORE")

The Board of Greencore announces today that it has co-opted Mr. Alan Williams (41) as an executive director of the Company with effect from 7^th March, 2011 and has appointed him as chief financial officer of the company with effect from the same date.

Alan has held a number of significant financial and management roles during his career including senior positions within the Cadbury Group over 18 years. His most recent role was global corporate finance director, with responsibility for leading the central finance functions within the Company. Previously he served as head of finance for the US confectionery operations of Cadbury and of its French beverages business.

Alan holds a BA (Hons) in French Studies from Manchester University and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.  He is also an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Alan will be taking up the position from Imelda Hurley who has been the acting chief financial officer since the departure of Geoff Doherty on 31^st December, 2010.  Following Alan's arrival on March 7^th, Imelda will take up the position of group finance director, reporting to Alan.

Speaking of the appointment, Patrick Coveney, CEO of Greencore Group said:

There are no disclosures to be made in respect of Mr. Williams pursuant to Section 6.6.7 (1)-(6) of the Listing Rules.
