As required under section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 ('the Act'), notice is
hereby given that Liberty International agreed on Wednesday, 13 October 2004 to
sell its holding of ordinary shares in Great Portland Estates plc.  On 
completion of the transaction, set for no later than 15 November 2004, 
Liberty International PLC will no longer have a notifiable interest in the 
capital of the Company.
