                        Notification of Interim Results



On behalf of our client, Gooch & Housego PLC, the specialist manufacturer of
acousto-optic and electro-optic devices, precision optical components, crystals,
and instruments for measuring optical radiation, we notify the London Stock
Exchange that the Company will be announcing its Interim results for the six
months ended 31 March 2005 on Wednesday, 8 June 2005.



An analyst briefing will be held at 9.30am and a press briefing at 12.00pm at
Buchanan Communications, 107 Cheapside, London, EC2 on Wednesday 8 June 2005.
