                      Notification of Preliminary Results


Gooch & Housego PLC, the specialist manufacturer of acousto-optic and
electro-optic devices, precision optical components, crystals, instruments for
measuring optical radiation and hyperspectral imaging systems, will be
announcing its Preliminary Results for the year ended 30 September 2006, on
Wednesday 29 November 2006.
