Gabon Drilling Commenced

GoldStone (AIM: GRL), the AIM quoted exploration company focused on gold in West and Central Africa, is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced at the Company's Oyem project in Gabon.

The 3,000 metres diamond drill programme, carried out by Goldstone's contractor Geoserve Exploration Drilling Limited, will initially target the central zone of the fifteen kilometre long Oyem gold in soil anomaly.

Whilst drilling progress was slower than originally expected due to the clay-rich saprolitic formation encountered to a depth 58 metres, the first drill hole was recently completed at a depth of 98 metres and intersected the targeted gneiss and amphibolite rocks.  The drill core samples will be shipped to South Africa for assaying.

APPROVAL

Dr. Hendrik Schloemann, who holds a PhD in geology, has reviewed and approved the geological content of this announcement.
