Marc Wood Appointed Group Chief Executive of auxinet plc


auxinet plc, the AIM listed e-commerce payments solutions company is pleased
to announce the appointment of Marc Wood as Chief Executive of the Company
with immediate effect.


Marc has been employed within the Group since April 2000 and was initially
responsible for the development of the Group's B2B payment solution Platima.
Since 3 January 2001, when Marc was appointed to the Board, he has also been
responsible for managing the DataCash business


Mr Wood previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Mergers,
Acquisitions and e-commerce for Equifax Europe. Marc also spent 15 years in
sales and marketing, with Perot Systems and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).


David Bailey, chairman of auxinet, said: 'Since Marc's appointment to the
Board he has been successful in maximising the synergies existing between the
DataCash and Platima products. It is logical, following auxinet's withdrawal
from its recruitment activities, that Marc should now take full executive
responsibility for the Group. With the business now solely focussed upon
payments, and with Marc as Group CEO, the Board is confident that the Company
is better placed to achieve its objective of rapid, secure and, most
