                                TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS





In conformity with Rule 13.1 (Confirmation of Number of Voting Rights) of the
Interim Transparency Rules issued by the Irish Financial Services Regulatory
Authority ('the Financial Regulator') under Section 22 of the Investment Funds,
Companies and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 2006 (the 'Interim Transparency
Rules') Glanbia plc announces that:


Glanbia plc's issued share capital consists of 293,238,684 Ordinary Shares of
nominal value €0.06 each with voting rights. Glanbia plc does not hold any
Ordinary Shares in treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in
Glanbia plc is 293,238,684.


The above figure (293,238,684) may be used by shareholders as a denominator for
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Glanbia plc under the
Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007 or the Interim
Transparency Rules.
