Stmnt re fire at pig plant

Glanbia PLC 8 May 2002 Statement from Glanbia plc On Wednesday, 8th May 2002, a fire caused significant damage to a Glanbia pig processing facility in Roosky, Co. Roscommon, Ireland. The site was evacuated and there were no injuries. While the damage is currently being assessed, early indications suggest the plant may not return to production for some time. The facility is fully insured for fire damage and consequential loss. Contingency plans have been activated to minimise disruption to the business.
