Application has been made to the Irish Stock Exchange and to the UK Listing
Authority for 225,500 Ordinary Shares of Nominal Value of €0.06 each in the
capital of Glanbia plc to be admitted to the Official List of the Irish Stock
Exchange and the UK Listing Authority and application has been made to the
London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading. Such admission
is expected to become effective and dealings to commence in these shares on 23
September. The shares were issued pursuant to the exercise of share options
under the Glanbia plc 2002 Long Term Incentive Plan.





A blocklisting application has also been made to the Irish Stock Exchange and to
the UK Listing Authority for   1,598,000 Ordinary Shares of Nominal Value of
€0.06 each in the capital of Glanbia plc to be admitted to the Official List of
the Irish Stock Exchange and the UK Listing Authority and  application has been
made to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading.
Such admission is expected to become effective on 23 September. The shares may
be issued from time to time upon the exercise of share options under the Glanbia
plc 2002 Long Term Incentive Plan.
