John Moloney appointed Chief Operating Officer at Glanbia plc

The Board of Glanbia plc announces that John Moloney, Group Managing Director
Designate, has assumed the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer,
effective immediately.

This appointment is part of the transition process to succeed Ned Sullivan as
Group Managing Director in July 2001.
