Changes to Director Responsibilities

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11, Genel Energy plc ('the Company') announces that following the retirement of Jim Leng at today's AGM, Chakib Sbiti has been appointed Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.  Chakib was previously Chairman of the HSSE Committee, which will now be chaired by Simon Lockett.

Following these changes, the composition of the Committees of the Board have been re-structured and full details can be found on the Company's website at www.genelenergy.com.
