Epistem (AIM: EHP) announces that 2,900 new ordinary shares of 1.5 pence each (the 'New Ordinary Shares') have been issued and allotted pursuant to the exercise of options under the Epistem Holdings Plc Employee Share Option Scheme.  

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM. Admission is expected to be effective from 21 August 2009.

Following the admission to trading of the new ordinary shares, Epistem will have 7,213,983 ordinary shares of 1.5 pence each in issue.
