Change to Board of Directors

In accordance with the policy out-lined in the Chairman's statement in the
interim report dated 28 February 2000, the Board announces the retirement of
John Morrell, as Chairman and non-executive director, and Kevin Pakenham, as
non-executive director.  The Board also announces the appointment of The Rt.
Hon. Lord Stewartby, as Chairman, and Garth Milne, as non-executive director, of
the Trust.  These changes are effective at today's date.

Mr Milne, who is a new appointment to the Board, was formerly Head of Investment
Trusts at UBS Warburg.
