Glencar Mining PLC 12 November 2003 Glencar Mining plc ('Glencar' or the 'Company') Glencar Announces Latest Exploration Results from Asheba Project, Ghana and the Launch of New Website Glencar is pleased to announce results from the latest field programme on its Asheba Project in Ghana. Detailed field mapping has been carried out and rock and spoil heap sampling and auger drilling is currently in progress. A significant strike extension to the previously known main mineralised area at Cheriaman has been discovered. The mineralised strike length now extends over a 3 km distance, some 1.5 kms on either side of the old mine site at Cheriaman. Specifically identified targets along this strike length will be the subject of a drilling programme expected to commence in December as soon as a drill rig becomes available in the area. The Asheba licence is approximately 45 sq. kms in area and is situated 25 kms south of Ghana's most prolific gold district of Tarkwa, which has currently delineated reserves of more than 25 million ounces of gold and approximately 750,000 ounces of annual production. Glencar also announces the launch of its new website at www.glencarmining.ie .
