Games Workshop Group PLC 14 July 2004 Games Workshop Group PLC (the 'Company') The Company received notification on 14 July 2004 that Schroder Investment Management Limited ('SIML'), have an interest in 4,831,682 ordinary shares in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') which are held in portfolios managed on a discretionary basis for clients of SIML under investment management agreements. Included in this figure are: (i) 2,555,142 ordinary shares held in (a) unit trust(s) operated and managed by an affiliated company, Schroder Unit Trusts Limited ('SUTL'), and registered or to be registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited, and (ii) 102,070 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Chase Manhattan Bank, (iii)255,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Imperial Pensions Nominees Ltd, (iv) 727,177 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of British Coal Staff Superannuation a/c: P, (v) 762,232 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Mineworkers Pension Scheme a/c: R, and (vi) 200,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited. A subsidiary, Schroder Investment Management North America Ltd ('SIMNA Ltd'), is managing (a) portfolio(s) on a similar basis holding a further 807,500 Ordinary Shares. These Ordinary Shares are registered or are to be registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited. SIML and their affiliated companies are therefore interested in 5,409,121 Ordinary Shares in aggregate, representing approximately 17.53% of the Company's issued share capital. This notification is made: (a) in respect of SIML's interest as investment managers, (b) on behalf of SUTL and SIMNA Ltd in relation to the interest it is treated as having under the Companies Act 1985 (the 'Act'), and (c) on behalf of Schroders plc, SIML's holding company, which is treated as having an interest in all of the above shares under the Act by virtue of its ownership of SIMNA Ltd, SUTL and SIML.
