Games Workshop was informed on 15 January 2003 that Standard Life Investments
purchased 20,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company on behalf of Standard
Life Group ('Standard Life') on 14 January 2003.  Following the purchase,
Standard Life holds 1,207,229 ordinary 5p shares in the Company, representing
approximately 4.04% of the issued share capital of Games Workshop.  These shares
are registered in the name of Stanlife Nominees Limited.
