Games Workshop was informed on 17 July 2002 that Standard Life Investments
purchased 222,635 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company on behalf of
Standard Life Group ('Standard Life') on 15 July 2002.  Following the purchase,
Standard Life holds 1,015,376 ordinary 5p shares in the Company, representing
approximately 3.4% of the issued share capital of Games Workshop.  These shares
are registered in the name of Stanlife Nominees Limited.
