Games Workshop Group PLC ('the Company')

The Company received notification on 6 April 2001 that Schroder Investment
Management Limited ('SIML'), have an interest in  3,158,492 Ordinary Shares
which are held in portfolios managed on a discretionary basis for clients of
SIML under investment management agreements.

SIML's aggregate interest represents 10.089% of the Company's issued share
capital.

Included in this figure are:-

(i)    2,608,492 Ordinary Shares held in (a) unit trust(s)
operated and managed by another wholly-owned subsidiary nominee company,
Schroder Unit Trusts Limited, and registered or to be registered in the name
of Chase Nominees Limited;

(ii)   233,000 Ordinary Shares registered or to be registered in
the name of Imperial Tobacco Pension Fund; and

(iii)  317,000 Ordinary Shares registered or to be registered in the
name of Strathclyde Pension Fund.
