The Company received notification yesterday that Phillips & Drew Life Limited
(a subsidiary of UBS Asset Management Holding No.2 Limited) is interested in
2,812,040 ordinary 5p shares, representing 8.98 per cent. of the Company's
total issued ordinary share capital.

These shares are registered as follows:

Phildrew Nominees Limited  A/C LF09           98,254
Phildrew Nominees Limited  A/C LF20        2,713,786
                                           2,812,040

Phillips & Drew Life Limited is a subsidiary of UBS Asset Management Holding
(No. 2) Limited which is also treated at having an interest in the above
shares.
