GALLIFORD TRY SECURES FRAMEWORK WITH YORKSHIRE WATER WORTH AN ANTICIPATED £110 MILLION

Galliford Try plc, the housebuilding and construction group, announces that its infrastructure business has, in joint venture with AECOM Design Build, been appointed by Yorkshire Water to continue as a contractor for its AMP6 framework. The framework will commence in 2015 and run until 2020.

The appointment is anticipated to be worth at least £110 million to Galliford Try, being similar in value and scope to the AMP5 contract currently underway.

The first framework stream comprises medium treatment works, involving capital projects on sewerage and water treatment plants, worth an expected £75 million over the framework period. An additional stream comprises other installation projects worth an expected £35 million.

Also included in the framework is the large schemes stream. Across AMP5 four contractors have secured projects with a combined value of £320 million through this workstream. The larger schemes are expected be tendered individually by Yorkshire Water between each of the appointed AMP6 contractors.

Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Galliford Try plc, commented:  "We are delighted to further extend our long-standing relationship with Yorkshire Water as one of its joint venture partners, delivering improvements to water infrastructure for its customers.  This appointment is an early and significant step in the renewal of our framework agreements with our key water clients and reinforces our position as one of the sector's leading contractors."
