Galliford Try PLC 03 October 2005 GALLIFORD TRY ACQUIRES MOBILE PHONE INFRASTRUCTURE CHARTERED SURVEYORS Galliford Try Plc, the construction and housebuilding group, announces the acquisition of Pentland Limited, a firm of Chartered Surveyors that provides site acquisition and town and country planning services to the mobile phone industry. The initial consideration for the acquisition is £1.1million paid on completion, with a maximum of a further £1.7million subject to achieving future profits. The consideration is being satisfied in cash from the company's own resources. Galliford Try Communications is one of the UK's leading providers of design and construction services for the mobile phone infrastructure and works for many of the country's mobile phone companies. The acquisition of Pentland, with offices based at Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Gloucester, will enable Galliford Try to further extend the range of services it offers, providing an integrated service to clients encompassing the identification and acquisition of sites for mobile phone masts, designing and carrying out the construction, and erecting the client's equipment.
