In accordance with section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, Futura Medical plc
('Futura' or 'the Company') was notified on 23 August 2004 by Gerrard Limited,
that following the purchase by W.T. Lamb Investments Limited, a client of
Gerrard Limited, of 50,000 shares in Futura on 19 August 2004, W.T. Lamb
Investments Limited now holds 1,950,000 shares in the Company. This holding
represents 4.01 per cent. of the Company's current issued share capital.
