      DONALD MACPHERSON RETIRES FROM FULLER'S BOARD

Today (31st July 2000) after ten years outstanding
service, Donald Macpherson retires as Senior Non
Executive Director from the Fuller's Board.

Appointed in August 1990, the Company has benefited over
the past decade from his sharp business acumen and
advice.  Chairman of the Remuneration Committee he also
previously served on Fuller's Audit and Nomination
Committees.

Mr Philip Augar, appointed as a Non Executive Director to
Fuller's in February 1999, will take over as Chairman of
the Remuneration Committee and role of Senior Non
Executive Director with immediate effect.

Since joining Fuller's, Philip's views on Company
strategies have been extremely valuable and The Board has
every confidence that he will continue to provide the
high standard of advice and guidance it has come to
expect during Donald's tenure.
