                         Acquisition of five new sites

Fuller Smith & Turner P.L.C. ("Fuller's" or "the Company") announces it has
acquired five new pubs. Two of the pubs were acquired from Gourmet Holdings Plc,
the remainder from individual, private vendors. The total sum paid for the five
pubs will be £7.2 million payable in cash out of the proceeds of recent
disposals.

The pubs will be run as part of the Fuller's Inns managed estate and are located
in Hampshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire.
