Debt Free Direct Group PLC (the 'Company')

Notification of major interests in shares

The Company received notification on 5 January 2006 from J O Hambro Capital
Management Limited ('JOHCM') that it is now interested in 1,397,779 Ordinary
Shares of 1p each representing 3.75% of the Company's issued share capital.



The total holding of 1,397,779 Ordinary Shares in which JOHCM is interested is a
non-material interest for the purposes of Section 199 2A Companies Act 1985 and
that JOHCM OEIC Managers LLP is interested in these shares as investment manager
of undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities (UCITS).
