                        INSOLVENCY DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

         Derek Oakley appointed executive director to Debt Free Direct


Debt Free Direct Group plc, the leading debt advice and solutions company, has
appointed Derek Oakley, age 39, to its Board as Insolvency Director in an
executive capacity.

Derek qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Practitioner before
joining Lathams, Chartered Accountants, in 1994. Derek became a partner in
Lathams in 1995. During his time with Lathams, Derek participated in the
development of what was later to become the Debt Free Direct business. Following
the acquisition of Lathams by Tenon Group plc in 2001, Derek became head of
Tenon's North West insolvency practice.

Derek joins the Board to take responsibility for strategic development in
insolvency-related matters.
