Sports Direct International plc (the "Company")

Voting Rights and Capital as at 29 March 2007.

This announcement is made in accordance with DTR 5.6.

On 2 March 2007 Sports Direct International plc was admitted to trading on the
London Stock Exchange.

Following the expiry of the period for stabilisation in connection with the
initial public offering on 28 March 2007, and receipt of confirmation from
Merrill Lynch International that is not going to exercise the over-allotment
option granted to it by the Company in connection with such stabilisation, and
pursuant to the terms of the acquisition agreement between Sports Direct
International plc and Mike Ashley dated 1 February 2007 relating to the
acquisition by the Company of Sports World International Limited, Sports Direct
International plc have issued and allotted a further 46,440,000 ordinary shares
of 10p each to Mike Ashley.

Accordingly, as at 29 March 2007, Sports Direct International plc's issued share
capital consisted of 720,000,000 ordinary shares of 10p each with voting rights.

Therefore the total number of voting rights in Sports Direct International plc
is 720,000,000.

The above figure (720,000,000) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Sports Direct International
plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
