Fiske plc (the 'Company')



As set out in the Chairman's Statement, in the Report & Accounts for the year
ended 31 May 2004, dated 26 August 2004, Fiske plc wishes to record the
retirement of Geoffrey Maitland Smith as Chairman of the Board and as a
non-executive director of the Company with effect from 30 September 2004.



The Company is pleased to confirm the appointment of Michael Allen as
non-executive Chairman with effect from 30 September 2004.  Michael has been a
non-executive director of the Company since November 2002.  He is currently on
the board of Alliance & Leicester as a non-executive director. Michael's
executive career was with Proctor and Gamble, where he was Group vice-president,
a member of the company's top management committee, and President, Europe,
Laundry and Cleaning products.
