                             Director Shareholding

The Company was notified on 6 November 2007 that Mr M.J.Shields, Group Finance
Director, had on that date exercised options over 3,445 Ordinary Shares with an
exercise price of 143p.

Following these transactions Mr Shields has a beneficial interest in the
Company's issued ordinary share capital of 168,769 Ordinary Shares representing
0.34 per cent of the Company's total issued ordinary share capital.
