AGM Statement

Fisher (James) & Sons PLC 04 May 2006 James Fisher Chairman's AGM Statement James Fisher and Sons plc, the marine services provider, today held its AGM in Barrow in Furness at 12 noon. Tim Harris, Executive Chairman, made the following statement to shareholders: Turning to 2006, trading to date has been to management expectations. Our offshore oil and specialist technical divisions continue to benefit from strong oil related markets. We took delivery of the 5,000 tonne Shannon Fisher for marine oil services early in the year and her sister, Solway Fisher, is on schedule for the summer. Our marine oil services division will benefit from the extra capacity. We have received a number of approaches for our last remaining cable ship, Oceanic Princess, which we are currently working on. We are firmly committed to her sale once we have achieved the price we are seeking. Following the strategy established in recent years, we are pursuing a number of different acquisition prospects which are consistent with our existing business and skills. None are yet at a contractual stage. Overall your company is in good shape and my colleagues and I are committed to providing increasing returns to our shareholders.
