Disposal of Signature Restaurants to Bank Restaurant Group plc and
                    change of name to Fish plc
                                 

Further  to the announcement made on 13 October 2000, BGR  plc  is
pleased  to  announce  the disposal of its  signature  restaurants
comprising  Bank Kingsway, Bank Birmingham and Zander for  a  cash
consideration of £11.025 million of which £775,000 is deferred and
contingent  on  certain profits being achieved by the  restaurants
following Completion.

As  a  result of this disposal, BGR plc will continue to focus  on
Fish!  and  the proceeds will be used to accelerate its  roll-out.
Consequently, it has been decided to change the Company's name  to
Fish  plc. It is proposed to send to shareholders a notice  of  an
extraordinary  general meeting to effect the  proposed  change  of
